Wash off the cleaning solution properly with clean water. After that, let the tank dry for a few hours. Repeat the procedure if you feel the bleach solution is still available in the interior.

While the tank is drying, clean the plants, substrates, and filter components with fresh water. Give these items proper rinse to remove trapped dirt and dust particles. Use soapy water if required to clean the filter and oxygen pump surface.

After you are done with the cleaning, wash your hand immediately to prevent the solution from sticking to your hands. Turtle also carries various kinds of bacteria on their body, so clean your hand after placing them back in the tank.

It is recommended to clean the turtle tank once in two or three months. Take the decision depending on the current condition of the water. Perform water change every week to prevent the water from becoming dirty.

Can Turtles be happy with Taiwan Moss?
